Baptism
Welcome! Baptism is the first Sacrament of Initation and your entrance into the family of God in the Cathoilc Faith.
For children under the age of 7, Baptisms are celebrated on Saturday evenings or Sunday afternoons after Mass. Contact the parish office to schedule a preparation class and sacrament date.
For children over the age of 7 and adults, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is appropriate. Contact the Director of Faith Formation to inquire about the process.
Confirmation and First Eucharist
These two sacraments complete your initiaion into the Catholic faith. In the Diocese of Springfield in Ilinois we celebrate these sacraments in the Restored Order, meaning Confirmation and First Eucharist are prepared for and celebrated at about age 7 or 8, at the same time.
Children who are ready to prepare for these sacarments must be enrolled in St. Agnes School or the Parish Family Formation Program. Preparation begins in the spring of 2nd grade, after celebrating First Reconciliation, and the celebration is in the fall of 3rd grade. Contact the Director of Faith Formation.
The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is available to all Baptised who are ill with physical or emotional/mental illness. Please call the parish office to have a priest come as soon as possible. We also offer a Healing Mass with anointing several times a year.
Marriage
A wedding at St. Agnes would be a beautiful way to begin living the sacrament of matrimony. Please call the parish office to schedule preparation and wedding dates.
