Music

This is my first year teaching 5th-8th Grade General Music at St. Agnes and my first year as a classroom school teacher! I graduated from Blackburn College with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Music. In additon to teaching at St. Agnes, I am a piano and voice instructor at Music Therapy Connections in Springfield. I am currently a graduate student, studying online through Holy Apostles college and Seminary. I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies with a concentration in Marrage and Family Studies. In 5th-8th General Music, students will learn the basics of music in addition to exploring different music generes, playing with improvisation (5th & 6th), and songwriting (7th & 8th). What I enjoy most about teaching music is seeing the students get excited to learn and engage with it!

Hello! My name is Cicely McCain and I am a first year teacher here at St. Agnes. I am a reccent WIU graduate and am a board-certified music therapist with Music Therapy Connections. I have a pet gecko named Alexios, and he sure has some spunk! I am so excited to have the opportunity to help bring back to the halls of St. Agnes and bring some joy into the student's lives.
